Our Skins Are

Originally trading as PinkieOnline, the SkinWraps team introduced vinyl skins to Australians back in 2003 and has specialised in supplying them for more than 16 yrs. We are a small, friendly, family business team with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Our reputation for producing top quality vinyl skins coupled with excellent pre and post order customer service means the world to us and we are always striving to be the best we can be.

Sustainable, Healthy Skins (Non PVC + Pthalate Free)

We made the move away from solvent printing back in 2015.

Our water-based printing process and the 3M Envision materials we use to manufacture our skins are UL GreenGuard Gold certified.

In a nutshell, this means that SkinWraps is offering a greener product solution in line with our customer sustainability initiatives to provide a healthier indoor air quality. This certification is preferred by schools and hospitals for health and safety reasons.

Quality Materials and Pricing

At SkinWraps we do not have a 'minimum order' requirement, however our pricing discounts are based on volume. We always give our best price when supplying quotations.

Striving to be the cheapest is not our focus and all SkinWraps customers - whether through our online store or as a volume corporate client - receive the same quality product. We do not change to cheaper materials just to win the job on price.

This means we are not always the cheapest, however if you are comparing suppliers that use the same cast-quality vinyl to create skins then you will discover that our pricing is very competitive indeed.

" The Gold certification includes additional factors to account for sensitive individuals (such as children and the elderly) and helps ensure that a product is acceptable for use in environments like schools and healthcare facilities. "

Cast vs Calendar/Monomeric Vinyl Skins

We use only cast vinyls and laminates for our products. This is the same material car wrappers use to change the colour and appearance of luxury vehicles.

Cast vinyl works really well with contours, curves and exposure to heat. It also removes without leaving residue. If it's good enough for a Lamborghini - it's good enough for your sensitive electronic device!

How can you tell cast from calendar/monomeric vinyl? It can be difficult if you don't know what to look for because any supplier can claim to use cast vinyl for their products. Here are the usual signs that a vinyl skin is made from calendar/monomeric vinyl:

  • thickness: skins made from calendar/monomeric vinyl are thicker than a cast material skin wrap
  • considerable shrinkage over time: both on the backing paper and often after application to the device
  • panels have a tendency to lift, peel or separate over time (particularly on curves and corners)
  • when removed you will notice residue left behind and sometimes damage to the surface of the device

Don't misunderstand us - calendar vinyl has a legitimate place within the signage industry. It just doesn't perform well when used as a vinyl skin on an electronic device that is subject to heat variance.

Capabilities: Devices, Order Volume, Client Requirements, Production Time

We are not limited to laptops, tablets and phones for corporate skins, however. Many of our corporate clients ask us for removable stickers and skins for conference events and many clients send us in-house devices (such as usb thumb-drives, portable hard disc drives etc) so that we can create a template and skin to fit them.

As at today's date, our largest production run has been 60,000 skins in one single order. We completed the project on budget and on time.

Our key clients include Barker College, Woodside Energy, Shell and Microsoft - to name a few. These clients know they can count on us for urgent jobs alongside their considered long-term volume projects.

We carefully consider our customer's requirements for every quotation and ask as many questions as we can to ensure we tailor a solution that meets your needs. Production times will vary according to our current workload and the size of your project, however a standard custom print of up to 500 skins is usually completed within 3-5 business days.

Our up-to-the-minute wide format digital printer, precision cutters and laminating equipment is serviced regularly to ensure minimal downtime; so that we can concentrate on ensuring orders are completed on time.

SkinWraps do not outsource any of the work involved to manufacture our products. Everything is completed in-house to ensure our quality standards are met.
